ELECTRICAL PRODUCT ENGINEER

Job Summary:

The Electrical Product Engineer is deeply involved in the daily product development and technical support activities, such as evaluation and testing of new and existing products and components, the transitions of those products and components into production, troubleshooting failures and implementing corrective actions, engineering support to customers & distributors, installation and commissioning in the field, and producing technical documentation & drawings. Other tasks may include training workshops and representing the Company at tradeshows and conferences.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts, designs, processes and technologies to support the New Product Introduction Process
  • Perform prototype design, testing and qualification before launch together with other team members
  • Continuous improvements of existing electrical and mechanical systems and components
  • Organize, prepare, finalize and maintain technical documentation for production use and technical support
  • Analyse and troubleshoot products down to component level and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct equipment checks and system tests in the field to ensure correct operation
  • Provide crucial hands-on technical support to installation and commissioning projects and field service technicians
  • Work with Product Development Manager to help establish team priorities and performance requirements to meet the Company’s overall business goals

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 0-5 years in the electronics industry, or similar industry
  • Experience in creating schematics and wiring diagrams in AutoCAD, or equivalent
  • Experience in creating and maintaining accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Basic knowledge of coding and circuit design
  • Experience from practical field work is advantageous
  • Good user experience with the various programs in the MS Office package
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Polish and/or German is an advantage
  • Driver’s license
